Interactivity test - Shooting star via Rhino Grasshopper

Reflection-Intellectual Property- GeriAmbiance

  This is the second group for today, presenting the topic of Intellectual Property.
  Unlike the first one, they started by explaining four types of IP straight away instead of defining it .
  In their presentation, the image of flowchart of IP really helped understanding the main idea, besides, the examples of Kniect, arduino and CryEngine3 were also found helpful. However, it could still be improved by inserting some interesting images or videos with some necessary referencing works.
  It seems like some of their group members were not fully prepared for the in-class presentation, as their oral speaking speed and voice went high and low frequently. But they've done a good job for written presentation.
  One thing that has been found out good is they had a deep thinking of what might be infringing the copyright of Intellectual and the way to prevent that from happening.
  Well structured presentation.

Reflection-Intellectual property- Interactive architecture

  In this week, we had two groups presenting on the topic of Intellectual Property.
  As usual, basic definition of Intellectual Property ( IP ) has been mentioned at the very beginning stage of their presentation. The next step, they pointed out four main types of IP, which are :

  •   Patents;
  •   Trade Marks;
  •   Registered design;
  •   Copyright

  During the presentation, they have discussed IP by using the example of comparison between Apple iPhone and Samsung phones, which really caught attentions, some other nice examples have been covered on presentation slides, such as Toyota Hybrid, skoona Moova and Cox architects. It's good to see these interesting as a tool of presentation but some of them haven't been referenced and some of the referencing texts were too small to read, could be better with larger sizes.
  In their group, every single person seems to have a great understanding toward IP, but when they were presenting , voice was a bit low and at the Q/A section, only two of them have made contributions to the interactions with audience. Written presentation was pretty good, as it does not have rough long texts.
  Well prepared presentation to me, but could be improved .

Reflection - Communication- Shades of Black

  The topic of presentation for this week is communication, presented by the group 'Shades of Black'
  They started the presentation by explaining a simple definition of communication, followed by forms of communication.
  Comparing to the presentation in the previous week, presentation slides created by Shades of Black was pretty basic without too much long written texts, and the whole group was presenting , not reading those slides. They had some interactions with audience by using some eye communication and body languages, which I think has done better than the previous group.
  For oral presentation, they all did good job, but it could be better if some of them can raise their voice a little bit. Simple style for written presentation as it points out key factors only.
  They've used certain amount of images as examples or platform to explain their key points. The image shows the relationships of people and media really caught my eye.
  Also it is really good to see everything that was not created by them have been referenced clearly on presentation slides.
  At the end, it's really nice to see a short video presentation filmed by group members , as this is a fresh way of in-class presentation.
  To me, the whole group did a great job and the topic of communication has been clearly understood and presented.

Review on Group presentation - 3rd iConstruct- Planning

  The theme of Group presentation in week 6 is Planning.
  First of all, the team has done a lot of work for this presentation. They had a nice presentation slides, a well-organized presentation structure, roles have been clearly broken down into individuals.
  They started the presentation with a clear explanation of what is planning and why do people do planning, which gave us a basic understanding of planning. Voice were loud enough so that all of us could hear them.
  The oral presentation was pretty good. But when comparing to their written presentation, we could easily see that oral presentation looks similar to written presentation, it could be much better for them if they present without reading texts on slides. Besides, the presentation had too less interesting examples and probably needs more referencing works displaying on the screen.
  They used nice images on the subtitle of construction research, those images really caught my eyes and they should grab more images for other subtitles as well.
  All in all, all topics and subtitles were all clearly analyzed and related to the main theme and it shows in-depth thinking of every individuals towards planning.
  Good works !
